Over the weekend, Mobile Telecommunication Giant, Tigo in collaboration with the University of Ghana SRC organized a concert dubbed ‘ The Tigo Switch Concert’ which brought to an end the week long SRC Women Week Celebration at the Kwapong-Sey Quadrangle. The show which was originally scheduled to start at 7pm commenced a few minutes past 10pm which saw performances from some rappers at the school as they unearth their potentials. Dj Vyrousky, club dj at Friday Friends was the official dj for the show as he played mixes to the admiration of the crowd gathered over there.
Natural Face, MzVee among other musicians also mounted the stage to do their own thing. At exactly 12:10am, Sarkodie who is the headline act mounted the stage with his official dj, dj Mensah, the untouchable. Sarkodie performed close to 1hr 30 minutes about 20 of his  tracks such as Origianal, Preach, Life, Illuminati, Give it to me, Baby ft. Mugeez, Am in love with you among others. He also performed a couple of songs from the camp of Tema duo, R2bees showing his love for them. He later invited his rap university guys; Phootprints as they performed their track featuring himself and Bisa Kdei. His energy level on the night was just something else. His performance couldnt have come to an end as the much-packed crowd kept shouting and asking for more. He ended his performance with his Adonai remix track featuring Castro.
Shatta Wale mounted the stage some minutes after Sarkodie’s performance around 01:20am. He came with a convoy of cars numbering
about 15 with motor bikes as well. He performed some of tracks like Shatta city, a letter to charterhaus, enter the net, my homeland, everybody likes ma tin among others. He ended his performance at exactly 2am with his Dancehall king track. In deed, all the acts that mounted the stage that Saturday make sure they nailed it.
The SRC women week celebration was proudly sponsored by Tigo with the help from the SRC.
