Pink for Africa creates awareness on breast cancer
The president of Pink for Africa, a breast cancer foundation, Mrs. Juliette Mills Lutterodt is in Ghana from the United States creating awareness on breast cancer. As a survivor of breast cancer, her main focus is imparting knowledge about breast cancer, its risk factors, symptoms, and the stigma attached to the disease, as well as the need for positive attitude to all women across the nation.
Pink for Africa is a nonprofit organization created to educate women in Africa on breast cancer and spread awareness extensively. The foundation is made up of several comprehensive programs and dedicated personnel who are working tirelessly both in Ghana and the United states to make sure women in Africa are educated on breast cancer, made aware of the benefits of self examination and early detection and offered medical help when diagnosed.
Pink for Africa is all about helping the African woman know as early as possible if she has breast cancer, how to manage the psychological and physical stress that comes with it and also offer medical help to those who do not have the financial resources to be treated when diagnosed.
Since her arrival in the country, Mrs. Juliette Mills Lutterodt has been educating women on this disease through TV and radio talk shows as well as organized seminars in various schools which her foundation in collaboration with other women organizations organized.
