Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame has launched his sixth studio album, ‘Konfanko’ (The Versatile Show) in Accra with the announcement of a one-of-a-kind music concert in December. The announcement was made at a press launch at the Oak Plaza on Wednesday.
This concert, to be called the ‘Versatile Show’ is a musical performance that seeks to bring classic entertainment at a very high level and position Okyeame Kwame as an all-round performer. It is a night of music, poetry, theatre and dance, and the show will bring together on stage a combination of varying themes like live band, orchestra, traditional instruments, PA for a DJ and a choir. Each of these themes will cater for a section of the show while the show climaxes with all the themes coming together, and using visuals – stage props and sets – as far as possible.
The show’s concept is to feature all the artistes featured on Okyeame Kwame’s new album as well as most artistes he has worked with including Efya, Samini, Irene, Nana Yaa, Vera-D3, Raquel, Efya, Soul Black, Edem, Tinny, She, Kesse.
Preparation of the versatile show with emphasis on the rehearsal will be shown on television for a month to build anticipation for the main show on December 14, at National Theatre in Accra. The show is being produced by Roverman Production and sponsored by MTN.
