The Next Big Thing contestants, last week received a hip hop task that to rap battle one another. The emcees also paid a visit to Hammer Studios in relation to the hip hop task. They met the renowned producer of Ghanaian hiphop beats, Hammer of The Last Two fame, who has nurtured so many hip hop artistes in GH and that includes the BET award winner Sarkodie, Obrafour, Kwaw Kese, Edem and others.
The emcees performed several freestyles for Hammer on a variety of hip hop beats. He was impressed with the young emcees and he shared his thoughts with them. He later advised them that hard work, focus and determination are very important in the hip hop business.
Meanwhile the grim evictions continued with Jojo, Bebelino, Magnificent and Selorm making the bottom four. Jojo was however the one that left the competition. The remaining emcees were divided into two groups made up of Tee-Phlow, Black and Strong man; and Magnificent, Bebelino and Selorm for the rap battle. The judges had a hard time deciding on the best battle group but the crowd went for Tee-Phlow, Strong man and Black’s group.
Viewers are advised to keep voting for their favorite emcee by texting their names to short code 1758 as the next show will see two emcees evicted from the competition and catch the live telecast of the next big thing on GHOne entertainment television every Sunday at 6pm or be seated in the studios of GHOne television by 4pm to be part of the studio audience.
