Fresh and Exclusive: Vodafone Icons – Street Edition winner, Ryan releases debut single, 'I No Care'

Published

on

ryanFresh off winning the third season of Vodafone Icons, dubbed the Street Edition, Ryan has released his debut single, ‘I No Care’.   The song was written by Ryan and produced by Ephraim, who has worked with the likes of 4×4, VIP and more. The Afro-pop tune is strong on the rhythms of African drums and easy to sing and dance along.

Ryan comments, “When I first went into the studio I wanted to write something deep, something that will really touch everyone’s heart. I was struggling and I notice that it’s because I was trying too hard. That’s when we started talking about my past experiences. I was telling Ephraim the producer about a past relationship. We were laughing because I was so young at the time. Within 40 minutes we had the song. The song is based on a true story but I can laugh and have fun about it now. It’s a fun song. There’s a story in there, but I really want people to have fun, at least with this song”
